The periphery, the place of less, is in a sense the launch pad for doing the more, writes Sr Libby Rogerson IBVM. Standing at the edge enables one to look in and look out. Looking towards the centre we see a prosperous Australia – a stable democracy, more or less, with a well-established rule of law and a welfare safety net but at the edges are many our society has failed.
