Following Jesus in post-modern Australia
Fr Gerry O’Collins SJ was the special guest speaker at the Hawthorn Parish Business Breakfast on 10 November.
His talk, titled ‘Following Jesus in post-modern Australia’, explored how our understanding of our relationship with Jesus has changed, from Lord and saviour to friend and companion.
‘In John’s Gospel, Jesus says to the disciples, “I have called you friends”. These are words that changed them, and change us’, said Fr O’Collins.
